Central Co-op’s Tacoma store is a community-owned grocery at North 46th and Pearl. It opened there in 2019, picking up where the old Tacoma Food Co-op on Sixth Avenue left off after it merged with Central Co-op in 2016. The shelves lean organic and local, with hard-to-find products from South Sound farmers and makers.
For a quick lunch, the store has its own taqueria. There’s a big parking lot, a community room next door that hosts events through the year, and online ordering through Instacart.
