Cactus has been cooking food inspired by the American Southwest and Mexico since 1990, and its Proctor restaurant is the only one of its six Puget Sound locations in Tacoma. The menu changes with the seasons and leans on dishes invented in-house rather than strict tradition, with separate gluten-free and vegetarian menus. At the bar, margaritas come first, backed by a full tequila and mezcal list.
Happy hour runs every afternoon, and brunch is served on weekends. There’s an online waitlist, and takeout and delivery can be ordered directly from the restaurant.
