La Perla del Mar VIP is a mariscos restaurant on Tacoma Mall Boulevard, the third location for the La Perla del Mar team, which opened it in early 2023 in the former Culichitown space. Seafood leads the menu, with aguachile and molcajetes loaded with shrimp and octopus, and there are tacos too.
The bar mixes hand-crafted cocktails, with a happy hour and a separate bar menu, and specials run Tuesday through Thursday. Sundays bring live mariachi, and reservations are taken by phone.
