Le Sel Bistro is a small, family-owned restaurant on St. Helens Avenue in the Stadium District, cooking French-inspired food from seasonal menus. The daily brunch menu has a pork belly benedict, a croque madame and banana French toast with spiced rum caramel. Dinner, served five nights a week, sticks to bistro classics like French onion soup, cassoulet, duck l’orange and halibut meunière.
Space is tight and mornings fill up fast, so reservations are a good idea. There’s a heated balcony overlooking Commencement Bay, and a few of the Bloody Marys come with bacon or pork belly.
