Quickie Too is an all-vegan kitchen on the Hilltop, run by founder Niombi Howell and her daughter Afi. The name nods to Hillside Quickie, the neighborhood store the family once owned. Most of the burgers, wraps and sandwiches start with house-smoked tofu, spicy jerk tofu, tempeh or seitan. The Crazy Jamaican burger pairs the jerk tofu with caramelized sweet plantain, and the menu also runs to Mac & Yease and milkshakes.
It’s takeout only and cashless. Online orders are picked up at the walk-up window on South 14th Street, and Quickie Too sandwiches are also sold at Central Co-op, Stadium Thriftway and Tacoma Boys.
