Waffle Stop is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant on North Proctor Street, open since 2018 and built around waffles. There are four kinds: a Liège-style pearl sugar waffle, a buttermilk waffle, a Southern waffle and a gluten-free buckwheat protein waffle made with the kitchen’s own flour mix. They come topped with berries and whipped cream, under Nashville hot chicken, or as the bread for sandwiches served with waffle fries.
Egg plates and scrambles fill out the menu. Mimosas come by the glass, flight or carafe, and the Bloody Marys are made with Chambers Bay Distillery vodka. There’s an online waitlist, plus a second Waffle Stop in Silverdale.
