The Antique Sandwich Co. has been on North Pearl Street since 1973, in a building that went up as a grocery store in 1916. The name comes from the antique shop Arlene Herridge opened there while her family made sandwiches, and much of her collection still fills the room, including a back bar from an Alaska saloon of the 1890s gold rush.
It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Baked goods are made in-house with organic whole wheat flour and local honey, and the breakfast pie is blueberry peach under a granola topping. There’s a garden for sunny days and occasional evening music.
