Da Tiki Hut is a Hawaiian restaurant and tiki bar on Sixth Avenue that started out as a food truck. The kitchen sticks to island comfort food like kalua pork, chicken katsu and loco moco, and the macaroni salad is a family recipe that hasn’t changed. For dessert, there’s pineapple upside-down cake or ube mochi cake.
Tiki masks look down from above the seats, and a small waterfall comes complete with a pirate skull and treasure chest. The bar mixes Mai Tais and Blue Hawaiians, and there are mocktails like the Strawberry Crush for anyone not drinking.
