Ice Cream Social runs one of its three scoop shops on North Proctor Street. The Tacoma company got its start at local farmers markets in 2012 and still makes all of its ice cream by hand. The everyday lineup includes vanilla, salted caramel and mint chocolate chip, plus roasted banana, almond poppy seed and a Valhalla Coffee flavor.
Featured flavors change with the seasons, like snickerdoodle and a spiced cider sorbet in the fall. The website lists what each shop is scooping that day, with allergens noted for every flavor. The other two shops are in Ruston and on the Hilltop.
