The Cat and Rabbitt started in 2020 as a walk-up cake window on Sixth Avenue, closed that spot in 2024 and moved its baking to Puyallup. In 2026 it came back to Tacoma, selling slices out of Sliced Deli inside the Museum of Glass on Dock Street.
The draw is scratch-made buttercream cake, six layers tall, sold by the slice and cut to order. Flavors change monthly, with combinations along the lines of marionberry goat cheese or chocolate passionfruit. Slices can’t be reserved, and sellouts get announced on Instagram. Whole cakes are ordered through a request form on the website, not over the phone.
