Top Pot, the Seattle doughnut and coffee company, opened its Tacoma cafe in the Proctor Station building on North Proctor Street in 2017. It was the first Top Pot in the South Sound and a homecoming of sorts for founders Mark and Michael Klebeck, brothers who grew up in south Tacoma and Lakewood. Bookshelves line the walls, the ceiling is left exposed, and there’s plenty of seating.
The doughnuts are hand-forged and the coffee is roasted in-house. Seasonal doughnuts rotate through the case, like a pumpkin old fashioned in the fall.
