Katie Downs is a 21-and-over tavern on Ruston Way, opened in 1982 by Dr. John Hilger and still run by the Hilger family. The deep-dish pizzas are hand-rolled and take 20 to 25 minutes to bake, and a portobello cap can stand in as a gluten-free base. Steamer clams, clam chowder, beer-battered Alaskan cod and burgers fill out the menu.
Seating is at banquet-style tables, the Seahawks game is on during football season, and in summer the patio opens right over the water. Reservations are only taken for parties of eight or more.
