La Ilusion Al Carbon is a casual sit-down restaurant on South 56th Street, near the University Place line, and as the name says, the grill is the point. The carbonada platter piles grilled meats with onions, a small quesadilla, beans, rice and corn on the cob, and it also comes in a smaller size.
Street tacos, quesabirria, fajitas and creamy enchiladas verdes fill out the menu, with salsas at several heat levels. There’s a full bar.
