E9 Brewing Co.’s 21-and-over taproom sits in the Brewery District, in a late-1950s building that began as the Tacoma Radiator and Fender Works. The kitchen bakes roughly 14-inch pies in a custom apple-wood-fired oven. The dough rises with yeast from the brewery’s own Tacoma Wild beer strain and ferments for three days, giving the crust a slight sour tang.
The Radiator comes with pepperoni cups and lavender-infused Calabrian chili honey, there’s a seasonal vegetarian pie, and Sundays bring a breakfast pizza. Pizza is also available for takeout. For an all-ages meal, the brewery points families to its sister pub, Engine House No. 9, on Pine Street.
