Northern Fish Old Town is the Ruston Way shop and deli of Northern Fish, a Tacoma seafood company the Swanes family has run for five generations. Norwegian immigrant Johannes Swanes bought the business in 1912, and the deal included a horse and wagon for delivering fish.
The deli keeps to Northwest standbys like halibut fish and chips and chowder, and the shop also sells seafood and smoked fish to take home. Seating is on a deck that sits out over the water.
